Summary The crystal structure determination of Cu(1,4-thioxane)2Cl2 establishes the coordination geometry of copper(II) to be distorted octahedral in the complex, with two monodentate sulfur and two chlorine bonds in the equatorial plane and axial coordination to two ether oxygen atoms. The structure is polymeric. The complex has symmetry 2/m. Selected distances are Cu-Cl, 2.245(1); Cu-S, 2.374(1); Cu-O, 2.574(1) Å.
