    Description / Table of Contents: Summary Two of the most effective and commonly used preparations for prevention of cleft lip and palate in man were tested in animals. Both Solcoseryl® (Actihaemyl®), recommended byGabka, and Thiamin (Vitamin B1), preferred byPfeiffer's team in Hamburg were shown to have a highly significant effect in Cyclophosphamide-and Dexamethasone-induced cleft palate in mice. Therefore, the above mentioned preventive measures are also recommended and used by the author.
    Abstract: Résumé Les deux modèles de prévention actuellement utilisés de la fissure des lèvres, de la mâchoire et de la voûte palatine sont vérifiés par une expérience avec des animaux. Aussi bien le Solcoseryl® (Actihaemyl®) recommandé parGabka que la thiamine (vitamine B1) préféré parPfeifer et son équipe hambourgoise se sont révélés très efficaces chez la souris envers des fissures de la voûte palatine induite de cyclophosphamide et de dexamethason. Les mesures de prévention mentionnées sont donc également recommandées et appliquées par l'auteur.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Es werden die zwei gegenwärtig gebräuchlichen und in der klinischen Anwendung bewährten Präventivmodelle von Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumenspalten im Tierexperiment überprüft. Sowohl das vonGabka empfohlene Solcoseryl® (Actihaemyl®) als auch das von der Hamburger Arbeitsgruppe umPfeifer bevorzugte Thiamin (Vitamin B1) erwiesen sich gegenüber Cyclophosphamid-und Dexamethason-induzierten Gaumenspalten bei der Hausmaus als hochsignifikant wirksam. Die genannten Präventivmaßnahmen werden deshalb auch vom Autor empfohlen und angewandt.

    Notes: This paper shows how simply and yet very rapidly fatty acid esters of monohydric alcohols, but particularly partial and full fatty acid esters of fully hydric alcohols can be separated and determined by means of high-pressure liquid chromatography on LiChrosorb RP-8 with methanol/water. We have separated quantitatively the methylesters of the fatty acids C8:0 to C22:0 and C24:0, the i-propyl-, i-butyl-, n-hexyl- and i-octyl-esters of the even-numbered fatty acids C8:0 to C18:0, mono- and difatty acid esters of the 1,3-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5,5-dimethyl-hydantoin, mono-, di- and triesters of the trimethylolpropane as well as the tetraesters of the penta-erythrite.
