Formation of a RhOCNC Five-membered Ring by [2 + 31 Cycloaddition of an Acylnitrene to a Metal-CO BondThe reaction of C5H5Rh(CO)PMe3 (4) with benzoylazide leads to the complex C5H5(PMe3)-(O) (5). The X-ray structure analysis of 5 shows the presence of a practically planar RhOCNC five-membered ring which presumably is formed by a [2 + 3]cycloaddition of benzoylnitrene obtained from PhCON3 to the Rh - CO bond of 4. Complex 5 reacts with CF3CO2H and [OMe3]BF4 by protonation and methylation, respectively, of the nitrogen atom of the metallaheterocycle.
    Notes: Die Reaktion von C5H5Rh(CO)PMe3 (4) mit Benzoylazid führt zu dem Komplex C5H5(PMe3)-(O) (5). Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse von 5 beweist das Vorliegen eines praktisch planaren metallhaltigen Fünfrings, der vermutlich durch [2 + 3]-Cycloaddition des aus PhCON3 erhaltenen Benzoylnitrens an die Rh - CO-Bindung von 4 entstanden ist. 5 reagiert mit CF3CO2H und [OMe3]BF4 unter Protonierung bzw. Methylierung des Stickstoffatoms des Metalla-Heterocyclus.
